Squeak has been a regular at The Auckland Cat Practice since being diagnosed with Renal Failure 2 years ago. Choosing a vet is like choosing a doctor or dentist – you need to like and trust them, and from the instant we walked through the front door, we knew we were in the right place.
Squeak has ended up in the hospital a few times for various reasons. They always me feel at ease and always listen to what I’m saying and explain things properly. I’m never made to feel silly for being paranoid or over-reactive – they understand she is my baby, and means the world to me.
Because of her condition, I leave her at the motel when I go away. They love her, give her kisses and cuddles and keep to her normal routine with feeding, medication and even with the treats. She’s allowed to bring her own blanket and vices (although they are provided if needed) so she feels safe and secure. I’m always happy with her stay and it’s usually a battle to convince her to leave.
I’m not going for the cliché here, but I really would recommend people to take their feline babies to The Auckland Cat Practice. Everyone there has done so much for Squeak and I, and we literally wouldn’t be here today without them!
